Responsible Sourcing
Gold is only as good as the diligence behind it.
Our commitment
ESPOIR FRONTIER GOLD TRADING L.L.C is committed to sourcing gold responsibly. We apply risk-based due diligence to our supply chain, informed by the OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains of Minerals from Conflict-Affected and High-Risk Areas and by the regulatory framework applicable in the United Arab Emirates.
What we require
Before any engagement: know-your-business review of the counterparty, identification of ultimate beneficial owners, screening against international sanctions lists, and documentation of the origin and chain of custody of the metal. Where an inquiry leads to a transaction, source-of-funds and source-of-metal information is part of the file.
What we decline
We do not deal in metal whose origin cannot be documented, in transactions structured to obscure the parties or the flow of goods, or with counterparties presenting an unmitigated sanctions or financial-crime nexus. Red flags associated with conflict-affected and high-risk areas are escalated and, where they cannot be resolved, the engagement is declined.
Records
Each transaction is recorded under the GTM standard — Order Confirmation, transaction records and allocation certificate — and the due-diligence file is retained in line with applicable record-keeping obligations, so that provenance and procedure can be demonstrated after the fact.
